How to connect Verifone P400 and BBPOS WisePOS E Readers to Press Start​

To connect the Verifone P400 and BBPOS WisePOS E readers to Press Start and add them under the Card Readers tab, you can follow these instructions:

  1. Set up the readers: First, ensure that both the Verifone P400 and BBPOS WisePOS E readers are set up and connected to the internet as per their respective guidelines.

  2. Log in to Press Start: Sign in to your Press Start account using your credentials.

  3. Navigate to the Card Readers tab: Once you have logged in, go to the main menu or dashboard and select the Card Readers tab.

  4. Add a new card reader: In the Card Readers tab, click on the "Add New Card Reader" button to start the process of adding a new reader.

  5. Select the reader type: Choose the type of reader you want to add, either the Verifone P400 or BBPOS WisePOS E.

  6. Register the reader: Enter the registration code displayed on the screen of the reader you're adding. The registration process pairs the reader with your Press Start account.

    • For the Verifone P400, the code will be displayed on the device's screen once it's connected to the internet.
    • For the BBPOS WisePOS E, access the settings menu by swiping right from the left edge of the reader screen, tap the Settings button, and enter the admin PIN (07139). Locate the pairing code on this screen.

  7. Name the reader: Assign a name to the reader, so you can easily identify it later when managing multiple devices.

  8. Connect the reader to your application: Follow the specific integration guidelines provided by Press Start to connect your card reader with the Press Start app. This process may involve initializing the SDK, discovering the reader, and connecting to it.

  9. Add additional readers: If you need to add another reader, repeat steps 4-8 for each additional device.

  10. Save and test: After completing the setup, save your changes and ensure that the readers are functioning correctly by conducting a test transaction.

By following these steps, you will have successfully connected the Verifone P400 and BBPOS WisePOS E card readers to your Press Start account under the Card Readers tab.
